APPLICATIONS

Starting from the academic year 2019-2020, the Inter-Institutional MSc program in Artificial Intelligence is being organized and operated by the Department of Digital Systems at the School of Informatics and Communication Technologies of the University of Piraeus, in collaboration with the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of NCSR 'Demokritos'.

The master's program accepted applications for the academic year 2024-2025 until 13 September 2024.

The MSc accepts applications only from holders of University degree on a subject that is relevant to Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, from Greek Universities or from other Universities that are in accordance with the provisions of the Greek law.

Criteria for Admission

Applicants will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

· Grade of Undergraduate Degree (if it is related to a subject relevant to the MSc on Artificial Intelligence)

· Grades of undergraduate courses with content related to the Program

· Grade of undergraduate degree thesis

· Research Activity

· Evaluation of the Recommendation Letters

· Proof of competence and fluency in English language of level B2 or higher (according to the Council of Europe)

· Interview

Interested persons must submit the following supporting documents through the Electronic Application Submission System:

  1. Application form, as provided online
  2. Curriculum vitae in English, accompanied with the necessary evidence of professional or research activity declared
  3. Certified copy of BSc or MD degree.  If the BSc and/or the MD degree is from a higher education institution outside of Greece, recognition by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Centre (DOATAP) is required. According to the Greek law, the initial contact with DOATAP after a candidate applies for postgraduate studies is made by the Program’s Secretariat(*).
  4. Transcript of records in Greek or English with your GPA, certified by a competent authority.
  5. Photocopy of the graduation certificate with an official Greek or English translation, certified by a competent authority.
  6. Your final year Thesis (if it applies, and in case it can be provided in English)
  7. Scientific publications (if they do exist)
  8. Any other evidence regarding your research/professional activity related to Artificial Intelligence
  9. ID card type photograph
  10. Photocopy of passport or ID card
  11. Proof of competence and fluency in English language of level B2 or higher (according to the Council of Europe)
  12. Two reference letters (at least one must be from an academic person)
  13. -ONLY FOR GREEK STUDENTS- Formal Declaration (following the link or with a certification of a valid signature at KEP, or Police Department in Greece) where it will be declared by the candidate that the supporting documents submitted and deposited in his file are correct.
